Rachael represented her country as a Young Rider in 1997, 98, 99 at two European Championships with Arabian gelding Silver Mistrahl, owned by Dr & Mrs Claridge and trained by Rachael. In 2004 Rachael and Silver Mistrahl won the FEI 3* 160km Cirencester Park Ride qualifying them to represent Team GB at the World Endurance Championships in Dubai in 2005. In 2006 homebred Anglo Arab gelding Prince Meliodas was used in the Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks tour as a ‘loading demo’. Rachael was also asked in this year to compete on Stephane Chazel’s horse at the Young Horse Championships, Uzes, S.France. During the spring of 2008 Rachael and Prince Meliodas were involved in a road traffic accident. In 2009 Rachael rode Ina Bryer’s Royal Solar Matla at the 120km FEI 2* South African International Championships in Beaufort West were she secured a Bronze ‘Barbarian’ team medal.

Rachael has been on many winning South West teams at Regional and Inter-regional level over the past decade and during 2010 has qualified as a UKCC L2 accredited coach and assessor for EGB. In 2011 Rachael commenced her L3 UKCC qualification and also stood her Arab Stallion Silver Zenif at Stud for AI services. Zenif turned 4 this year and has now been backed and is ready to start his endurance career in 2012 after completing an Endurance GB Christmas pleasure ride and winning the BEF Futurity at The Grange in 2010 and being awarded joint 2nd nationally for endurance young stock.

Foot perfect hoof cream improved the quality of one of my horses hooves this year when adverse weather conditions dried his hooves after the wet spring followed by a hot summer. My Arabs hoof started to resemble the cracked ground we trained over! The cream moisturised the hooves and enriched the quality of the horn within a short space of time. The hoof looked visibly darker once the cream had been applied and the sweet almond oil smelt lovely whilst it was being applied.
